Description

Kossuth Lajos Amerikában nyomatott 1 dolláros kölcsönjegye. Az emigrációban nyomtatott papírpénznek nem volt fedezete. Az osztrák állam pedig pénzhamisításért perelte Kossuthot. A hátoldal felirata bizonyítja, hogy Kossuth beszédei nagy hatással voltak az amerikaiakra, a pénzt pedig emléktárgyul megőrizték.

Inscription

A hátoldalára írt angol nyelvű szöveg magyar fordítása: Emlékezzünk arra, hogy látta és hallotta Kossuthot és tanulja megbecsülni értékét és érezzen együtt ügyével. Egyesült Államok, Alabama, Mobile, 1852. április 3.
