Description

Állítólag padányiBiró Márton (1696-1762) veszprémi püspök (1745-1762) veszprémi sírjáról való. A római katolikus egyházban a késő-középkortól - kora újkortól kezdve a főpapok viselték ezeket a jellegzetes kalapokat. A kalap színe és a bojtok száma az illető egyházi személy rangját mutatta. Ezeket a kalapokat és bojtokat az egyházi címereken is alkalmazták. Zöld kalapot és hat-hat zöld bojtot a püspökök viseltek. A bojtok száma a magyarországi gyakorlatban csak az 1830-as évekre állandósult.
