Description

Im 19. Jahrhundert beschäftigten sich junge Mädchen und Frauen häufig mit feinen Strick- und Häkelarbeiten. Spezielle Behälter für das Garnknäuel verhinderten das Verschmutzen. Eine besonders elegante Variante ist dieses Knäuelkörbchen aus Silber, das an einem Filigranarmreifen befestigt ist und eher einem Schmuckstück gleicht. Die Kugel kann in der Mitte aufgeklappt und das Knäuel hineingelegt werden. So wird das Garn reibungslos abgewickelt und die Trägerin kann sich frei bewegen.
