Description

Wittbeck ist eine kleine Ortschaft am südwestlichen Rand des Naturparks Südheide. Dorothea Milde hielt sich mehrfach in der Lüneburger Heide auf und verarbeitete zahlreiche Landschaftsmotive in ihren Zeichnungen, hier einen Ausschnitt der Heidelandschaft mit den typischen Wacholderbäumen.
Es handelt sich um die in NLM 13 unter Nr. 3 verzeichnete Zeichnung des Wacholders beim Landheim Wittbeck, wo die Künstlerin auch genächtigt hat, vom 19.7.1916

Handschriftlich bezeichnet: "Wacholder bei Wittbeck. - Dorothea Milde."
Kein Monogramm.
