Description

Der Anbau an das Rathaus Pankow erfolgte in den Jahren 1927-1929 nach Plänen des Architekten Carl Schmidt.
"Im neuen Bau", so schrieb Otto Jakobi 1936, "der im Inneren modern, weit und luftig gehalten ist und den Anforderungen an ein neuzeitliches Bürogebäude entspricht, befinden sich u. a. Verwaltungsbüros, Verwaltungs-Bibliothek, ein Archiv, die Stadtbank (frühere Spar- und Girokasse) und schließlich das Polizeirevier 282..."
Diese Büroschränke wurden eigens für die Arbeitsräume im Rathausanbau angefertigt und weisen unterschiedliche Breiten, Tiefen, Höhen und Türöffnungen auf.
