Description

Weite Landschaften mit bis zu sieben Bäumen auf einer Fläche von 100 x 100 m prägten Patagonien im Jura, vor 150 Millionen Jahren. Vulkanausbrüche, verbunden mit pyroklastischen Strömen führten zur Fossilisation der Araukarien. Ascheregen führten zur Einbettung und Konservierung der Nadelbaumriesen samt Zapfen, Holz und Blättern.
