Description

Scheibenfibel, Bronze, rund, dünn, nach außen gewölbt, mittig eine Nabe. Hinten rechts und links zwei kleine Metallbügel, einer mit rechteckiger und einer mit runder Öffnung, zum Durchstecken eines (noch vorhandenen) gerillten Bronzestäbchens, als Befestigung.

Gefunden im Feld, nördlich des Friedhofs Grünstadt, Altbestand des 1903 gegründeten Altertumsvereins Grünstadt.

Laut Foto-Begutachtung durch die Mittelalter-Archäologen Dr. Harald Rosmanitz (Spessartprojekt) und Dr. Gerald Grimm (Uni Bonn) eine karolingische Naben-Scheibenfibel, ca. 9. Jahrhundert.
