Description

Cheat bottle, auch bouteille vouleuse. Um 1800, Europa. Grünes Glas, umgelegter Rand zur Befestigung des Korkens mit einem Faden. Besonderes und namensgebendes Merkmal ist der tief eingestochene Boden, der das Volumen deutlich verringerte. Andererseits sind diese "Schummelflaschen" auch bewusst eingesetzt worden, um die Verknappung des Volumens als Aufwertung des Inhaltes zu nutzen. Optisch wirkt der eingestochene Boden wie ein Objekt in der Flasche, gleichsam eine Flasche in der Flasche.
