Pressglas-Teller mit Zeppelin-Motiv.

Im Spiegel Portraitdarstellung des Grafen Zeppelin (1838-1917), darunter Inschrift "GRAF ZEPPELIN". Reich gestalteter Rand "geschliffenen" Rauten. Im oberen Rand Luftschiffdarstellung in Fahrt, wohl LZ 4, darunter Spruchband "DEUTSCHLAND'S RUHM". Umlaufender Wellenrand.

Pressglas hat naturgemäß eine stumpfere Oberfläche und weichere Konturen als geschliffenes Glas. Gleichzeitig wurde bei der Formgebung oftmals teures, mundgeblasenesn und geschliffenes Glas imitiert.
Industriell hergestelltes Pressglas gibt es etwa seit Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts.
