Ein Emailleschild in Schwarz-Weiß mit dem Aufdruck " Julius Hering & Sohn Hochspannungsisolatorenwerk G. m. b. H. Germersheim" Dieses Schild hing im Hochspannungs-Isolatorenwerk Julius Hering & Sohn, welches sich in der Nähe des Germersheimer Bahnhofs befand. Dort wurden aus selbst gebranntem heißen Porzellan Isolatoren gebaut. Aus nassem Porzellan werden Rohlinge gepresst und gebrannt. Dann wird der Isolator auf einer Drehbank mit gebogenen Messern aus "Widia-Stahl" weiter geformt. im Akkord schaffte ein Dreher hundert Isolatoren am Tag.
