"Schminkpaletten [...] sind in sämtlichen frühgeschichtlichen Kulturen des Nillandes belegt. Sie dienen zum Anrühren von Schminke, wobei Mineralien kleingerieben und mit Fetten, Ölen oder Harzen vermischt wurden." (Quelle s.u. von Falck, S. 22).

Oberfläche geglättet, Rückseite (heutige Schauseite): geringfügige Absplitterungen, Frontseite: stark abgeriebene Oberfläche im Bereich der Mulde, geringer Substanzverlust an den Enden.
