Das Motiv auf der Bildseite der Ansichtskarte entstammt einer Mappe mit Federzeichnungen, die Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts von der Künstlerin Dorothea Milde in Quedlinburg veröffentlicht wurde.
Diese Postkarte zeigt das sogenannte zweite Burgtor und die dahinterliegenden Gebäude der südlichen Kernburg.
