Laut Vorwort sind die 'Beiträge' in der Hauptsache eine Fortschreibung und Erweiterung der handschriftlichen Chronik des Domvikars Johann Babtist Veichtmayr von etwa 1850. Sie wollen aber ausdrücklich keine umfassende Chronik sein.
