A csoportválasztó olyan forgómozgást végző kapcsológép, amelynek feladata a hívó tárcsaimpulzusai által meghatározott vonalcsoport gépei közül egy szabad gép megtalálása. A csoportválasztó gépeket 7A1 és 7A2 központokban alkalmaztak.
