Description

Die mannshohe Amethyst-Druse aus Brasilien ist der Blickfang im Edelstein-Kabinett der 2009 wiedereröffneten ständigen Ausstellung "Minerale - Faszination in Form und Farbe". Der Hohlraum (Druse, Geode) im Basaltgestein ist durchweg mit einem satt violettfarbenen Kristallrasen der Quarzvarietät Amethyst belegt. Einige ockerfarbene Calcitkristalle sind dem Amethystrasen aufgewachsen.

Provenienz: Ankauf über "Freundeskreis Museum Schleusingen" von der Firma Cosmocolor Zella-Mehlis.
