Dieser Pfeifenkopf aus Porzellan zeigt das gemalte Porträt von König Ernst August, der in der Zeit von 1837 bis 1851 das Königreich Hannover regierte. Vor einem dunkelgrauen Hintergrund ist der König im blauen Waffenrock mit roten Kragen und schwarzer Halsbinde zu sehen. Mehrere Orden zieren seine Brust.

Pfeifenköpfe waren mit zahlreichen verschiedenen Bildmotiven, Widmungen und Sinnsprüchen erhältlich. Dies machte sie im 19. Jahrhundert zu einem beliebten Geschenkartikel.
