Im 'währungsüberschreitenden' Handelsverkehr wurden seit jeher Münzen nach ihrem Gewicht beurteilt. Dazu wurden genormte Münzgewichte verwendet, wie dieses im Standard einer 1 Unze (= ca. 27,3 g). (AVS)
