Die Tabakreste wurden im Zuge der Restaurierung 1981 bei einer Pedalwinde der großen Silbermannorgel im Freiberger Dom gefunden. Sie könnten von Gottfried Silbermann stammen, der mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit Raucher war (so fand sich in seinem Nachlass 1 Pfund Rauchtabak).
