Description

Die Gämse - vor der Rechtschreibreform Gemse - ist eine in Europa und Kleinasien verbreitete Art der Ziegenartigen (Unterfamilie Caprinae). In Mitteleuropa besiedelt sie die Alpen, häufig bis in die Hochgebirgslagen.
Der hier gezeigte Schädel einer Gämse stammt aus der Sammlung Zimmermann und wurde in Tirol (Österreich) gesammelt.
