Label: Joh. Michael Rudert / fecit Vienne 1814
Violin maker Johann Michael RUDERT opened his workshop in 1812 in Korneuburg. Transferred to Vienna in 1813 where he lived and worked supposedly until 1842.

Material/Technique

Top plate: spruce, ribs: maple, back plate: walnut with maple veneer, edge: plum-tree (later missing parts subsituted with walnut), mother-of-pearl inlays on the top plate around the soundhole, neck: maple, with black varnish
