Színes grafikai plakát. Sárga alapon fölül narancssárga, 1 Ft értékű bélyeg, alul bélyegzőlenyomatot utánzó kör alakú keret, fölső köriratában "Írjon! Válaszoljon!", alsó köriratában "1958. X. 26. - XI. 1."; középső sávban narancssárga betűvel "Levelező hét".
Bal oldalt alul szignó: Vertel J.
Bal alsó sarokban: "Felelős kiadó: Worm Ferenc", jobb alsó sarokban: "7158 - Egyetemi Nyomda mélynyomása, Budapest. - F.v.: Janka Gyula"

A Szovjetúnióban rendszeresített, a személyes levelezés előmozdítására, a jelentőségének növelésére irányuló Levelező Hét elnevezésű mozgalmat 1958-ban a Minisztertanács határozatával Magyarországon is bevezették.
