1915 táján készült a fényképfelvétel<br>
1915-ben a 32. gyalogezredhez vonult be. 18 havi frontszolgálat után, 1916-ban orosz fogságba esett, ahonnan 1918-ban tért haza. Katonai kitüntetései: Bronz vitézségi érdemérem, Károly cs. kereszt és dicsér&#337; elismerés kitüntetésekkel.<br>
József nev&#369; testvére a fronton szerzett betegségében halt meg.
