Püspökladányban az amatőr színjátszás több évtizedes múlttal rendelkezik, létrejötte idős Csenki Imre (1886-1962) néptanítóhoz köthető, aki évtizedeken keresztül rendezett darabokat, és városunk kulturális életének egyik legjelentősebb alakja volt. A képen a Cigánybáró c. operett három szereplője látható 1946-ból.
