Rettegi Istvánné tanárnő több évtizedes gyűjtésének eredménye alkotja a Karacs Ferenc Múzeum műtárgyállományának törzsanyagát. A múzeum megszületése előtt ennek egy része a Karacs Ferenc Gimnázium Iskolamúzeumában volt kiállítva és őrizve.
