Description

1946. augusztus 1-jén vezették be az 1945–1946 évi hiperinfláció követően a pengő helyett ismét a forintot Magyarországon. Váltópénze a fillér, ahogy
1892 óta a az osztrák–magyar koronának, a magyar koronának, majd a pengőnek is. Az új forinthoz azonban új filléres érméket is terveztek, amelyeket kezdetben rézből vertek. A 10 filléres mérete és külalakja csak a feliratban változott 1997-ig, a forgalomból kivonásáig: a hátoldalán csőrében olajágat hordozó galamb látható. 1946-ban körirata: MAGYAR ÁLLAMI VÁLTÓPÉNZ.
