Description

Kurucz Imre szobrászművész 1946. november 13-án született Berettyóújfaluban. A budapesti és debreceni mesteriskolában gazdagította szakmai tudását. Művei: plakettek, érmék, domborművek, szobrok, hazai és külföldi közgyűjteményekben
megtalálhatók. Az alkotások anyaga kő, bronz, márvány. Napjainkban nemcsak
Berettyóújfalu közterein díszlenek alkotásai (többek között Báthory Gábor szobra,
1956-os emlékmű stb.), hanem az ország más településein is.

Az Ülő nő c. alkotást édesanyjáról mintázta a művész 1987-ben.
