Introduction
In 1955, Mrs Marguerite Fawdry bought up all the copper-plates and a huge stock of old theatrical prints that had formed the stock of the original Pollock’s Toy Theatre Shop. This she did with the help of her father-in-law, R. C. Fawdry, usually known an ’Grandpa Fawdry’. At that time, ’Grandpa’ himself commented: "I was brought into this very subtly. Then I was intrigued with tales of the charming history of Toy Drama and Pantomime.
