Description

Ovale Tabatiere aus der Porzellanmanufaktur Frankenthal mit zeitgenössischer vergoldeter Silbermontierung, deutsch. Französischer Einfuhrstempel aus der ersten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhundert. Die außerordentlich feine Malerei stammt von dem Maler Johann Jacob Osterspey. Auf der Außenwand ein Reliefdekor, mit Gold gehöht. Auf dem Deckel und der Außenwand Amorettendarstellungen in Eisenrot und Grau. Die Innenseite glanzvergoldet. Im Deckel Darstellung mit bunten Muffelfarben: Venus, Adonis und Cupido. Venus trauert um ihren Geliebten Adonis. Auf dem Pfeilköcher monogrammiert: OSPi. Die Dose stammt aus der Sammlung Geraudum, Genf.
