Description

Aus Stroh, in spiralen Form geflochtener Gärkorb. Die einzelnen Strähnen sind mit gespalteten Haselnussruten zsammengehalten. Weitet sich von unten nach oben gleichmäßig aus. Unten ein verstärkender Rand. Verwendung: Behälter für Eier, Mehl, oder man verwendete ihn beim Brotbacken. Es wurde ein Brottuch in den Korb gelegt und der Brotteig wurde vor dem Backen darin zum Gähren gebracht. Der Simpel für das Mehl, war kleiner und aus weißen Ruten geflochten. Allgemein verwendet wurde er bis in die 1960er Jahre.
