Description

Dargestellt sind zentral in der Bildmitte die Überreste des Septizodiums. Hierbei handelt es sich um eine monumentale, mehrstöckige Brunnenanlage.

Bez.: Vestgij del settizonio di Severo Imperatore, che fu un sepolcro che egli si edfiico sopra la strada Appia, non per altra cagione, se non che quelli che veninano di Africa, lo hanessero su gli occhi, questo edifitio facena faccia a mezo giorno, et e. tutto di opera Corinthia, con bellissime colonne di varie pietre mischie, parte striate et parte senza con il loro menbri di marmo. fi chiamato anco settizolio da sette solari che aveva, et si vede nella parte di dietro. Il volgo lo chiama la scola di Virgilio.
