Dargestellt ist die Porta Maggiore (Porta Praenestina), eines der Stadttore von Rom, welches gleichzeitig in ein Aquäduktsystem integriert war. Zu sehen sind die Durchgangsbögen, sowie die hohe Attikazone.

Bez.: Vestigij d’una porta de la Citta, chiamata Antichamente porta Nevia, hora detta Porta maggiore, qualle serutua anco per castello, da ricevere diverse acque, che venivano con aquedotti, intrare in Roma, per detta porta, come se ne vede oggi gli vestigii, questo edifitio e’di pietra di travertino, d’opera corinthia rusticha, lavorata dalla parte di dentro, et di fuora con medesimo lavoro e’inscriptione, da questa porta escono due strade, la Lavicana, e’la Prenestina,
