Description

Die Hechel ist ein kammartiges, aus spitzen Drähten, Nägeln gefertigtes landwirtschaftliches Gerät, auf ein Holzbrett montiert, durch das Flachs- und Hanffasern zum Reinigen (Hecheln) gezogen werden. Beim Hecheln werden sie parallelisiert, die Bastfasern längs aufgespalten und von Kurzfasern gereinigt.
