About the collection
The Egyptian Collection provides an insight into ancient Egyptian art and culture over the period from the 4th millennium BC to the Roman-Christian period. An extensive collection of reliefs and sculptures, stelae, vessels, amulets, papyri and objects for burial furnishings illustrates everyday life, religion and the cult of the dead.
