Description

Das plutonische Gestein besteht zu etwa 2/3 aus SiO2, das in den Silikatmineralen Feldspat, Quarz, Biotit und Hornblende enthalten ist. Die Lausitzer Granodiorite enthalten sehr oft helle und dunkle Einschlüsse von Fremdgestein (Xenolithe). An diesem Stück ist ein dunkler Xenolith aus ehemaliger Grauwacke zu sehen, der in der heißen Gesteinsschmelze zu Hornfels alteriert ist, darüber ein heller Quarzgang.
