Kossuth Lajos Tudományegyetemet megjelenítő, kétoldalas, sima peremű emlékérem. Az érem előoldalán felső félköriratban "KOSSUTH LAJOS TUDOMÁNYEGYETEM", alul a főmotívum alatt, vízszintesen "DEBRECEN" felirat olvasható. Az oldal középen az egyetem főépülete,előtérben a szökőkúttal és a park ábrázolásával. Hátoldalán az egyetem modern épületei láthatóak, alatta a "PRO UNIVERSITATE" felirat található.
