Adolf Schrödter (1805-1875)

"Adolf Schrödter (June 28, 1805, Schwedt – December 9, 1875, Karlsruhe) was a German painter and illustrator. He acquired a reputation as a genre painter and member of the Düsseldorf school of painting, and illustrated such works as Till Eulenspiegel. He was also a pioneer in German comics.
