Pietas (Göttin)

Die Göttin Pietas wurde seit 181 v. Chr. in Rom in einem eigenen Tempel verehrt. Sie verkörperte die wichtigen Tugenden des respektvollen und ehrenden Verhaltens gegenüber Göttern, Eltern und Verwandten, aber auch die pflichtgemäße Gesinnung und Frömmigkeit. (Landesmuseum Württemberg)
