Gustav Adolf Spengler (1869-1961)

Spengler war ein Tischlermeister und Heimatforscher aus Sangerhausen, der eine museale Sammlung aufbaute. Bekanntheit erlangte er dafür, dass er zwischen 1931 und 1933 das vollständige Skelett eines Steppenmammuts in einer Kiesgrube bei Edersleben ausgrub.
