Thüringisches Husaren-Regiment Nr. 12

Das „Thüringische Husaren-Regiment Nr. 12" (später Preußisches Husarenregiment Nr.12) war ein Kavallerieverband der Preußischen Armee. Mit dem 30. Juli 1791, der als offizielle Stiftungstag gilt, befahl der Herzog und Kurfürst Friedrich August III. von Sachsen die Aufstellung eines Husaren-Regiments zu acht Eskadronen, das in Pillnitz stationiert werden sollte. Das neue Regiment wurde dann Ende September in Mühlberg/Elbe zusammengestellt.- (Wikipedia 22.12.2016)
