Seit 1816 Schüler der Dresdner Akademie u. von Johann David Schubert. Zeichenlehrer in Dresden. Zeichnete für "Sachsens Kirchen-Galerie" (1840 ff.) sämtl. Kirchorte der Ephorien Kamenz, Löbau u. Oschatz, dazu Freiberg. War mehrfach auf Dresdener Ausstellungen vertreten (1820 mit Selbstbildnis).
