"Rachel (Hebrew: רָחֵל‎ Rāḥêl, meaning ´ewe´) was a Biblical figure, the favorite of Jacob´s two wives, and the mother of Joseph and Benjamin, two of the twelve progenitors of the tribes of Israel.
