Conrad Karner (1571-1632)

Conrad II Karner, Kompass- und Instrumentenmacher, geb. 9.2.1571 in Nürnberg, gest. 23.9.1632 in Nürnberg. Um 1599 Meister. Sein Meisterzeichen war das Jagdhorn. Karner stellte insbesondere Reisesonnenuhren her. Er lebte von 1627 bis zu seinem Tod in der Kartäusergasse in Nürnberg. (Nürnberger Künstlerlexikon, München 2007, Bd. 1, S. 749)
