Paul Seel (-1695)

"Seel, Paul (Austr.). Son of Peter Seel; Medallist, and Mintengraver at Salzburg, circ. 1660-+1695. He learned the art of diecutting with his father, and worked also as a Line-Engraver. From 1660 to 1665 he assisted his father at the Salzburg mint; from 1665 until his death, he filled the office of Chief-engraver; hi successor was Ignaz Portenschlager (1695-1715)."
