Charles-Louis Dierckx (1798-1860)

"Charles Louis Joseph Dierickx (1798 - 12 October 1860)

Charles Louis Joseph Dierickx (spelled as Diericks or Dierickz by some modern sources but not in contemporary documents) was born in 1798 in Lille and died in 1860 in Louveciennes (Yvelines), France. Chemist by training, he was successively director ("mint master") of the mints in Lille, Rouen and finally of the Paris Mint (15th June 1845 to 13th October 1860).

His privy mark on coins was a hand, seen in profile and pointing to the right with an extended index finger." - https://onlinecoin.club/Info/Persons/Charles_Louis_Dierickx/, 31.08.2021
