Description

Ovales Brustbild des französischen Arztes und Gelehrten Jean Antoine Sarrasin (1547-1598) in Talar, Halskrause und Samtbarett.
Der Oberkörper ist leicht nach rechts gedreht, sein Blick geht am Betrachter vorbei, ebenfalls nach rechts.
Unter dem Bild steht der sein latinisierter Name mit der Beschreibung: "Janus Ant. (Antonius) Saracenus ein berühmter und in der griechischen Litteratur erfahrner französischer Arzt geb. ungefähr 1547 gest. 1602" (abweichend vom überlieferten Todesdatum 1598).
