Some young women amuse themselves by blanket-tossing male straw mannequins. Goya had already treated this playful subject in a cartoon for a tapestry in 1791/92, but here he also included the image of a donkey and a man woven into the outstretched blanket: the silly men become a plaything for female caprice.
