Biography: Engraver, from Viterbo. Active in Rome. Brother of Mario Cartaro (Masetti Zannini). He was imprisoned at the time of the murder of Geronimo modenese in Rome in 1577 (Masetti Zannini). Proposed for entry into the congregation of the Virtuosi del Pantheon, 12 Feb 1581 (Orbaan). He copied engravings by Agostino Carracci. His work was published by Mario Cartaro, the heirs of Claudio Duchetti, Battista Panzera and Antonio Caranzano.
