Horatius Pacificus

(Orazio Pacifico)
Engraver and print publisher, active in Rome. For the convincing proposal that he was born c1580, see Pagani. He died in his house in the Strada Pontefici (Pagani). He bought old plates and printed from them: his address appears on late states of many of Diana Mantovana's plates (Bellini and Massari); see also the trophies, originally published by Salamanca (Miller).
