Colonel Charles Seton Guthrie aus Scotscalder, County Caithness.
Sammlung orientalischer Münzen von insgesamt 15.263 Exemplaren (1.261 aus Gold, 8.273 aus Silber und 5.729 Aes).
Im Jahre 1876 für das Münzkabinett erworben für 3.500 Pfund (Acc. 1876/616 am 25. Juli 1876).
Der Nachruf im Numismatic Chronicle 1875 nennt 1.340 Gold-, 7.100 Silber- und 10.000 Bronzemünzen, die für die moderate Summe von 5.000 Pfund der deutschen Regierung angeboten worden seien.
Das Victoria & Albert Museum in London besitzt eine Sammlung des Obersten Charles Seton Guthrie (indische Gegenstände und Kunst), der von 1828 bis 1857 bei den Bengal Engineers in Indien diente und 1874 starb.
